Defect Elimination Process: Develop and implement a Defect Elimination Process. Create tools and systems to record specific failure types and establish value-adding models for determining value. Improvement Process for Repairs and Routable Assets: Establish an improvement process for repairs and routable assets, focusing on internal and external process requirements when dealing with service providers. Repair and Testing Bays: Build repair and testing bays for electrical, instrumentation, and some mechanical equipment. Aid in fault finding, problem solving, calibration, and installation from first principles. Training Material for Operators and Supervisors: Provide training material to operators and supervisors on aspects and issues directly affecting the availability or reliability of assets, machines, or plants. Post-Failure and Shutdown Reviews: Establish various reviews after failures and shutdowns with stakeholders and service providers. Incorporate learning and implemented improvements based on the feedback received. Housekeeping Practices and Workplace Principles: Implement housekeeping practices and workplace principles to prevent substandard practices. Proactively reduce the need to apply corrective principles through these practices. Governance and Control Measures: Use over-inspection criteria, visible felt leadership practices, and plan task observation as governance and control measures. Contribute to understanding specific problems and identifying required solutions.
